Red Bull Phase Rush 2025 — esports tournament broadcast for League of Legends
Full TV production from our OB van for the second edition of Red Bull Phase Rush at Expo Łódź. We handled video, audio and transmission: 17 cameras (including a Spidercam), EVS replays, live results playout, and simultaneous output to the stream and the LED screens, distributed via LiveU.

An esports tournament at broadcast-TV quality
Esports audiences watch world-class broadcasts and instantly spot any flaw. Producing a League of Legends tournament means running several video layers at once: the in-game feed, cameras on the players and the stage, crowd shots and the caster studio — all synced to the second with replays and results graphics.
On top of that comes a double audience: online viewers on the stream and the crowd in the hall watching giant LED screens. The signal has to look perfect on both, stay rock-solid across three tournament days and allow instant replays of the key plays.

An OB van production — video, audio and transmission
We ran the entire production from our OB van UNIT 10, parked at Expo Łódź. In one prepared environment we had vision mixing, audio, graphics, playout and streaming encoders.
17 cameras were on site: studio Panasonic AK-HC3900, remote PTZ units, Sony FX6 on gimbals and a Spidercam above the stage. An EVS server prepared the replays and highlights, the playout system captured player results and pushed them to graphics on the fly, and the whole crew — 21 people in total — was linked by an RTS intercom. The signal went simultaneously to the stream and the LED screens, and out to the world via a LiveU LU600.

How much does an esports tournament broadcast cost?
It depends on the scale: the number of cameras, the length of the tournament, the need for replays (EVS), graphics, sound and LED screens. A one-day online tournament is priced very differently from a multi-day event with a live audience and a caster studio, like Red Bull Phase Rush. How many cameras do you need for an esports tournament broadcast?
It depends on the format. A small online tournament can run on a few cameras, but a large event with a stage, an audience and a studio needs a dozen or more. At Red Bull Phase Rush we worked with 17 cameras — studio, PTZ, on gimbals, and a Spidercam above the stage — which gives full freedom in the live cut.
Do you provide live replays and highlights (EVS)?
Yes. We run an EVS XT-3 replay server with an operator who prepares replays of the key plays and highlights within seconds. It is standard in sports and esports broadcasts, where the pace of play is very high.
Can the broadcast go to the stream and the LED screens in the hall at the same time?
Yes. From the OB van we send the signal in parallel to the stream (YouTube, Twitch, Facebook) and to the LED screens in the hall. The production is designed so that both outputs look perfect and the online viewer and the on-site audience get a consistent picture.
Can the playout show player results and stats on the graphics?
Yes. The playout system captures data from the match — player results and stats — and pushes them onto live graphics during the broadcast, so viewers follow the tournament in real time without delay.
Do you handle large esports events across Poland?
Yes. We produce esports broadcasts and tournaments all over Poland — the OB van and mobile kits travel directly to the venue, including large sites such as Expo Łódź. We provide redundant links and full technical back-up.
What keeps the stream stable during a multi-day tournament?
We build in redundancy at every stage: independent links (including a mobile LiveU LU600 with bonding), backup power, duplicated encoders and local recording. Even a single point of failure will not take the broadcast off air.
