Adidas Football Stadium — live football match broadcast

During EURO 2024, adidas set up the Adidas Football Stadium in the very heart of Berlin, right next to the Bundestag — and our crew produced the live football match broadcast from there, available in Poland on Kanał Sportowy. Six cameras, a pre- and post-match studio and EVS replays — all from our OB van.

The challenge

A match from an extraordinary stadium in the heart of Berlin

The Adidas Football Stadium is no ordinary pitch — it is a special stadium built for EURO 2024 in the very centre of Berlin, with the Bundestag building in the background. A match like this has to be shown with multiple cameras, making the most of the stadium's unique backdrop, while delivering full coverage: a pre-match studio, a post-match studio, replays and highlights.

The challenge was to build a television-grade production from an OB van in an unusual outdoor location and to prepare the signal for a Polish audience — on Kanał Sportowy, a Polish sports channel.

How we did it

Six cameras, PTZ cameras, a studio and an EVS replay system

We ran the production from our OB van. The picture was gathered from six Panasonic AK-HC3900 cameras, the organiser's PTZ camera, which delivered superb shots of the stadium against the Bundestag, and additional Panasonic AW-UE150 PTZ cameras trained on the commentators.

Replays and highlights were handled on an EVS XT3 Channel Max system. In parallel we ran a pre-match and post-match studio, tying it all together into a single, television-grade broadcast available in Poland on Kanał Sportowy.

The result

A television-grade match broadcast with an iconic Berlin backdrop

Viewers in Poland got a full, multi-camera match broadcast from the Adidas Football Stadium — with shots of the pitch against the Bundestag, a pre- and post-match studio, and replays and highlights prepared live. The whole thing was produced the television way and aired on Kanał Sportowy.

It is a good example that a match broadcast in an unusual, outdoor location can have the quality and coverage of a major television production — with an OB van, multiple cameras and a full replay pipeline.

FAQ

Live football match broadcast — common questions

How much does a live football match broadcast cost?

The price depends on the scale: the number of cameras, use of an OB van, a replay system, studio and graphics coverage, and where it is aired. A single match covered by a few cameras is priced differently from a large production with a studio and replays. Describe your event — we prepare a quote within one business day.

How many cameras do you use to broadcast matches?

It depends on the scale of the event. For the Adidas Football Stadium match we used six Panasonic AK-HC3900 cameras, the organiser's PTZ camera and PTZ cameras on the commentators. We handle both intimate broadcasts and large, multi-camera sports productions.

Do you prepare a pre- and post-match studio?

Yes. At the Adidas Football Stadium we ran a pre-match and post-match studio, tying it in with the coverage from the pitch into a single, coherent television production. We tailor the studio coverage to the event format and the broadcaster's expectations.

Do you prepare replays and highlights live?

Yes. Replays and highlights were handled on an EVS XT3 Channel Max system, which prepares replays of the best action during the match and, afterwards, a summary of the finest moments.

Do you produce broadcasts outdoors and in unusual locations?

Yes. The Adidas Football Stadium was an outdoor stadium built in the centre of Berlin. Thanks to our OB van and a mobile crew, we produce television broadcasts almost anywhere — at a stadium, in an arena, outdoors or in a studio.

Do you prepare the signal for a television broadcaster?

Yes. We prepared the signal from the Adidas Football Stadium for airing on Kanał Sportowy. We produce broadcasts to the requirements of television stations and platforms, taking care of the signal quality and format the broadcaster expects.

Planning a football match or sports event broadcast?

We can take on the entire production — OB van, cameras, studio, EVS replays, graphics and delivery — or just the part you need. Tell us what you are organising and we will prepare a quote within one day.
