What is the LiveU LU600?
The LiveU LU600 is the flagship bonding encoder from the Israeli company LiveU—the global market leader in LTE live streaming. The device allows for live streaming from anywhere in the world in broadcast-quality 1080/50p or full 4K HDR. It uses multi-modem (bonding) technology that aggregates bandwidth from 8 LTE modems—thereby achieving a throughput that exceeds that of a standard fiber-optic connection, making it ideal for 4K streaming. OneStream offers the LU600 for rent along with active SIM cards and an optional LU2000/LU4000 receiving server.
How does 8-modem LTE bonding work?
The LiveU LU600 includes 8 LTE modems that use carrier aggregation technology. Each modem connects independently to the cellular network (each can use a different carrier), and the video signal is divided into packets and transmitted in parallel by all modems. On the receiving end, the LiveU server (LU2000 / LU4000) reassembles the packets into a coherent video stream. This offers two key benefits: significantly higher bandwidth than a single modem (through aggregation) and redundancy—if one carrier’s signal weakens, the remaining 7 modems maintain the transmission. Dual SIM also allows you to have both a local and a roaming SIM card in a single slot.
Live & Store - Live and Local Storage at the Same Time
The LU600 features a unique Live & Store function—during a live broadcast (with a bitrate that dynamically adjusts to network conditions), the device simultaneously records the footage locally in the highest broadcast quality. After the broadcast ends, you can upload the full-quality recording to the LiveU server—useful for content that will be aired or archived later. This is a key difference compared to the Solo/Go encoders and the competition.
LU600 vs. LU300 vs. Solo/Go—which version should you choose?
OneStream offers three bonding encoder models to suit different budgets and production requirements:

The LU600 is LiveU’s flagship model. It has 8 LTE modems (the LU300 has 4, and the Solo/Go has 4), supports 4K HDR (the LU300 and Solo/Go support only HD), the HEVC codec (50% less bandwidth), and the unique Live & Store feature. The LU300 is ideal for HD news and lighter productions, while the Solo/Go is best suited for YouTube/Facebook streaming. We recommend the LU600 for broadcasts and demanding 4K productions.
Bonding aggregates bandwidth from 8 independent LTE modems. Each modem can have a SIM card from a different carrier—this provides redundancy (if one carrier’s signal weakens, the remaining 7 modems maintain the transmission) and significantly higher bandwidth than a single modem. On the receiving end, the LiveU LU2000/LU4000 server reassembles the packets into a single, coherent stream. This allows for 4K transmission from locations without fiber-optic connectivity.
Yes—this is a unique feature of the LU600. During a live stream (where the bitrate dynamically adjusts to network conditions), the device simultaneously records a local copy in the highest broadcast quality. After the broadcast ends, you can upload the full version to the LiveU server. This is ideal for content to be aired later, for archiving, or if network conditions were poor during the live broadcast—you always have a backup at 100% quality.
The LiveU receiving server (LU2000 or LU4000) combines the bonded streams and outputs an SDI signal. You have two options: 1) Colocated —the server is located at OneStream, and the signal is sent to your streaming platform (YouTube, Facebook, Wowza). Ideal for online streaming. 2) On-site —we deliver the server to your event, and you connect the SDI signal directly to your video mixer. Ideal for TV broadcasts and productions requiring a local broadcast signal.
Yes, the LU600 has a DataBridge mode—it can function as a mobile LTE+WiFi+Ethernet router with 8-modem bonding. This is useful for the entire production crew at an event without infrastructure (editors’ laptops, reporters’ phones, IP cameras). It can replace the need to rent a separate router or Starlink. DataBridge setup: free.
The minimum is 1 day of filming (Package A – 2,600 PLN net). For longer projects (3+ days), we offer discounts—please contact us for a custom quote. SIM cards are included in the price, but in cases of very high data usage (e.g., 4K live streams lasting several hours), we may add the cost of premium data plans. Delivery within Warsaw is FREE; outside Warsaw, costs are as agreed (fuel + any necessary overnight accommodations for the crew).
