What is LiveU Solo/Go?
LiveU Solo/Go is the simplest and most affordable bonding encoder in LiveU’s lineup—the perfect entry point into professional live streaming. Although it is portable, lightweight, and very easy to use, it is on par with more advanced solutions like the LiveU LU600 in terms of quality. The encoder uses a set of 4 LTE modems (2 built-in + 2 Huawei USB modems) as well as WiFi and LAN connections. OneStream offers the Solo/Go for rent with active, prepaid SIM cards and full setup assistance.
How do Solo/Go and the LRT protocol work?
Solo/Go connects to the internet via four LTE modems simultaneously (bonding), as well as via Wi-Fi and LAN. The key to stability is the LRT (LiveU Reliable Transport) protocol—a proprietary LiveU solution that divides the video signal into packets, sends them in parallel over all connections, and automatically compensates for packet loss and bandwidth fluctuations. This ensures a stable transmission even under challenging network conditions. Solo/Go streams directly to platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Wowza)—it does not require a separate receiving server, making it the simplest solution in our lineup.
Solo/Go vs. LU300 vs. LU600 — Which Encoder Should You Choose?
OneStream offers three LiveU bonding encoder models—Solo/Go is the entry-level model:
- LiveU Solo/Go (this product) — 4 modems, H.264 HD, the simplest and most affordable option, streaming directly to platforms — for YouTube/Facebook, vloggers, and simpler productions.
- LiveU LU300 - 4 modems, HEVC HD, V-mount on the camera, receiving server - for news and HD broadcast productions.
- LiveU LU600 — 8 modems, 4K HDR, HEVC, Live & Store — for broadcasts and demanding 4K productions.
- For satellite connections outside LTE coverage— Starlink as a supplement or backup.

Solo/Go is the entry-level model—the simplest and most affordable. It has 4 LTE modems and an H.264 HD codec, and streams directly to platforms (YouTube, Facebook) without a receiving server. The LU300 adds HEVC, a V-mount on the camera, and a receiving server (for HD broadcast news), while the LU600 has 8 modems and 4K HDR (for demanding productions). We recommend Solo/Go if you’re looking for simplicity and a low price.
No—that’s a key advantage of Solo/Go. The encoder streams directly to platforms via RTMP (YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Wowza) using the LRT protocol for stabilization. You don’t need to rent a separate receiving server like you do with the LU300/LU600. This makes Solo/Go the simplest and most affordable solution—just turn it on, configure the stream key, and start broadcasting.
Solo/Go supports all popular streaming platforms via the RTMP protocol: YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, Wowza, Vimeo, and others. You can also stream to your own RTMP server or CDN. Setting up the stream key takes just a few minutes—we’ll help you with this when you receive your equipment. You can stream to one or several platforms at the same time (depending on your LiveU account).
LRT (LiveU Reliable Transport) is LiveU’s proprietary protocol that ensures stable transmission. It divides the video signal into packets, sends them in parallel via 4 LTE + WiFi + LAN modems, and then automatically compensates for packet loss and bandwidth fluctuations. As a result, even if one carrier’s signal is weak, the transmission remains smooth—the other connections take over the load. This is the same technology used in the more expensive LU300 and LU600 models.
Yes—the rental price includes 4 SIM cards, each preloaded with at least 50 zł. That’s enough for a typical HD stream. In case of very high data usage (long streams, high bitrates), we can top up the cards upon request or add additional data packages as specified in the contract. You don’t have to worry about your own SIM cards or activation.
Yes—Solo/Go is designed with simplicity in mind. It’s plug-and-play: connect the camera (HDMI/SDI), turn on the encoder, configure the stream key, and start broadcasting. We give you access to a configuration account and full setup assistance when you pick up the equipment. The minimum rental period is 1 day (700 PLN net), with FREE delivery in Warsaw. We offer discounts for longer projects.
