What is the Altair WBS-202HD intercom?
The Altair WBS-202HD is a 2-channel wireless intercom system. The intercom’s range extends up to 400 m, with the option to increase it using an external antenna. It is a digital wireless system that can be used with wireless single-channel beltpacks, as well as with a dual-channel director’s kit that allows for remote management of the base station and switching between channels. The wireless base station provides two-channel radio communication with a capacity of up to 8 beltpacks (or 4 per channel). How does a 2-channel system work?
The device allows you to instantly combine separate channels into one—even though the entire system is configured to operate with two separate channels, a single switch can route all 8 devices to a single channel, while maintaining two-channel capabilities for wired connections. The WBS-202HD station includes a two-channel director’s beltpack. The new director’s kits allow for the simultaneous management of two groups and the direct transmission of announcements to a connected public address (PA) system.
Master/Slave - Building a Large Network
The station can operate in standalone Master mode or be connected as a Slave to another wireless station, allowing you to create a large wireless network. The base station can operate simultaneously with up to two units (one per channel). This flexible solution scales from small setups (5 people) to larger teams (9 people or more with expansion).

The Altair WBS-202HD supports configurations for 5 or 9 users. The base station provides two-channel connectivity with capacity for up to 8 wireless beltpacks (4 per channel), plus wired connections. For larger crews, two stations can be connected in Master/Slave mode to create an expanded wireless network.
The range extends up to 400 m in the standard configuration. You can increase it by using an external antenna (available as an option). This is sufficient for most applications—from studios to sports arenas to outdoor events. For very large venues, we recommend an external antenna or a Master/Slave configuration with two stations.
Two channels allow for independent communication between two teams—for example, channel 1 for camera operators and channel 2 for sound engineers. The director’s beltpack lets you manage both teams simultaneously. Importantly, with a single switch, you can merge all 8 devices into a single channel when you need everyone to hear each other.
The Altair WBS-202HD is an analog/wireless solution for small and medium-sized crews (5–9 people, 2 channels)—simpler and more affordable. The RTS digital intercom is a system designed for large productions (up to 40 users), featuring programmable communication channels and DANTE integration. Choose Altair for typical broadcasts and events, and RTS for large television productions with a large crew.
The minimum rental period is 1 day. A set for 5 users costs 900 PLN net per day, and a set for 9 users costs 1,500 PLN net per day. The price includes the complete set: a base station, user units in the selected configuration, a director’s beltpack, and headphones. We offer discounts for longer projects—please contact us for a custom quote. Delivery within Warsaw is FREE; outside Warsaw, delivery is subject to agreement. We assist with setup upon pickup.
