What is the EVS replay system?

EVS is a legendary replay system that has even become a required standard when producing live footage. The EVS XT3 ChannelMax system allows recording of up to 12 video channels working in 1080/50i or 1080/50p quality. EVS XT3 production servers enable the creation, editing, exchange and broadcast of video and audio content. According to the company, some 5,000 operators worldwide use their tools every day.

How does the EVS replay system work?

The EVS production server first saves images from the cameras. In our configuration, this is up to 12 cameras. Then the system operator has the possibility to select shots, make simple edits like trimming the clip and finally play the selected fragment in slow motion or normal speed. When creating playlists, the operator has the option of playing back the most interesting moments (highlights) or showing a recorded fragment that was not shown to viewers in the main broadcast. Support for up to two output channels allows, for example, to show a reporter describing a sports event with simultaneous playback of excerpts from the match, and all this from recording devices. EVS can also be a server exclusively recording video from each camera.

1. Rental EVS server with technical staff who will connect the device - PLN 2,500 net/day (600 euro net/day)
2. Rental EVS server with technical support who will connect the device and EVS system operator - 4 000 PLN net/day (1000 euro net/day)
