How does the AK-HC3900 camera track work?
A camera track is a system consisting of three components: a camera (head), a CCU, and a ROP remote control panel. The AK-HCU250 CCU, when paired with the AK-HRP250 ROP, transmits high-quality, uncompressed video signals and control signals to the camera via fiber-optic cable or a hybrid SMPTE cable, which also powers the camera. The camera operator can remotely control focus, aperture, white balance, and image parameters from the control room, which is standard practice in professional television production and live broadcasts.

A camera system is a complete setup consisting of three components: a camera (AK-HC3900 camera head), a CCU (AK-HCU250), and a remote control panel (AK-HRP250). Our rental package includes all three components plus an SMPTE hybrid cable connecting the camera to the CCU. This allows the camera operator to remotely control the camera from the control room—a standard feature of professional broadcast production.
Yes—the AK-HC3900 operates at 4K/50p and 1080/50p. It uses an internal 4K imaging system, which ensures that the image is exceptionally clear even in HD mode (thanks to oversampling from the 4K sensor). It also supports HDR and the ITU-R BT.2020 color space with simultaneous HDR/SDR output—a single channel can handle broadcasts in both standards.
The basic rental package includes a camera system (camera + CCU + ROP) without a lens. We’ll select a broadcast lens tailored to your project—various focal lengths (wide-angle, telephoto zoom) are available for an additional fee as specified in the contract. Please contact us with details about your project (studio, sports, concert), and we’ll select the optimal lens and provide a quote.
The camera connects to the CCU via a hybrid SMPTE cable or fiber optic cable, which carries the uncompressed video signal, control signals, and power. We provide a cable as standard that covers typical studio and arena distances. For very long distances (stadiums, large arenas), we can provide longer fiber-optic cables—just let us know when placing your order.
Yes—we have several AK-HC3900 camera systems, which are ideal for multi-camera productions (all identical, with consistent color grading). We can also combine them with our UNIT10 UHD broadcast truck for a comprehensive outside broadcast (OB) production. Please contact us for a quote on a multi-camera setup—we offer competitive rates for larger numbers of camera channels.
We have a progressive pricing structure: 1 day = 900 PLN, 3 days = 2,400 PLN (effectively 800 PLN per day), 7 days = 4,900 PLN (effectively 700 PLN per day). For rentals longer than a week, the rate is 400 PLN net for each additional day. The longer the project, the lower the daily rate—ideal for longer studio and film productions.
