UOKiK “Consumer Law” live broadcasts

The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the government's draft law on consumer rights, which aims to implement EU regulations into the Polish legal structure, as well as to systematize and integrate regulations on the quality of goods sold. The new order not only unifies the level of consumer protection throughout the EU, but also reforms national sales law to a large extent. UOKiK live broadcasts are an information cycle implemented in cooperation with OneStream.pl.

Conference participants discussed the practical implications of the new regulations, which on the one hand grant consumers more rights, and on the other impose new obligations on entrepreneurs. During the meeting, the issue of the buyers' guaranteed right to exhaustive information, which the seller will be obliged to provide before the contract is concluded, was raised. In addition, the impact of the planned change in the definition of a consumer and the modification of regulations regarding guarantees and warranty on commercial reality was discussed.

Live broadcast project

Three XDCAM HD cameras were used, connected via SDI links. The whole process was supervised by a Blackmagic ATEM1 mixer, which allowed mixing the image from the cameras and from the presentations that were displayed. Materials such as presentations, photos and videos were imported directly from the presenters' computers - thanks to our "collision-free" system of using the presenter's computer - even if the presenter's computer changes, we always have the current material in the presentation. An expensive but very practical solution :).

The material, after processing by the video mixer, was transmitted using a Teradek Vidiu device in mp4 format at an optimal bitrate of 1400kb/s. The use of this modern image encoding device allows to obtain unprecedented image quality with very low internet connection load parameters.

Of course, at the end, the Client received full statistics illustrating the course and interest in the event among people on the Internet. The report entitled "Live Broadcast Warsaw - UOKiK" was delivered to the Client on the same day, and then within a few hours the material was ready for publication on the Internet.
