Foundation for Polish Science

An online HD broadcast of the final of the INTER popularization contest organized by the Foundation for Polish Science as part of the SKILLS project took place at the Zamoyski Palace on Foksal Street 1/2/4 in Warsaw. This year, 13 finalists of the competition competed not only for the title of the best popularizers, but also for 100 thousand zlotys for the implementation of a research project.

During the final gala of the INTER 2013 popularization contest, each of the thirteen young scientists had five minutes to present their interdisciplinary project. Their speeches were evaluated by the contest's Chapter, which included prominent scientists and well-known popularizers of science in Poland: prof. Maciej Żylicz, President of FNP (Chairman of the Chapter), Dr. Ilona Iłowiecka - Tańska, Dr. Patrycja Dołowy, Dr. Marcin Grynberg, Dr. Paweł Rutkowski (winner of the INTER 2012 competition and winner of the audience vote) and editor Krzysztof Michalski. We realized online HD broadcasts.

Online HD broadcast realization

During this realization, we used 4 fullHD cameras from Sony XDCAM class. The cameras were connected to an ATEM1 digital mixer. The image was mixed live from the 4 cameras and in addition there were embedded in the HD online broadcast presentations of the participants, each participant generated an individual animation and captions that appeared during the online broadcast. The footage was recorded on-site by a Blackmagic recorder in a 4:2:2 color palette

Prices for this type of project depend on the number of cameras that are used for webcasts, the number of people - broadcasters, the number of viewers and any elements that are an option (the number of soundtracks for translations, the ability to scale the quality of the transmission, etc).
