Live streaming without venue internet — an award gala from the Royal Castle in Warsaw
The halls of the Royal Castle have no connection capable of carrying a broadcast. The gala went out live on YouTube from three cameras, and the signal left the room over three mobile networks at once, reassembled into a single stream on our server.
The challenge
A beautiful room with nothing to broadcast on
The gala of the „Człowiek bez barier” (Person Without Barriers) competition is held at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. For a broadcast crew a historic interior means the same thing everywhere: no line that could carry a stream, and no permission to run anything along the walls.
Add the standing of the event. The guest of honour at the first streamed edition was the First Lady of Poland, Agata Kornhauser-Duda; the room held the finalists, the jury and the press. A gala like this cannot be „done again in a minute” — either the stream goes out, or there is no stream at all.
How we did it
Three mobile carriers bonded into a single stream
With no usable line in the room, we built one. The programme feed left the control position over bonded connectivity: modems on three different mobile networks transmitted in parallel, each carrying a share of the stream, and our streaming server reassembled it and passed it on to YouTube.
This has one decisive advantage over a single LTE modem: a failure or congestion on one network does not stop the broadcast, because the other two absorb its share. In a room full of guests holding phones — exactly where a single network tends to choke — that is the difference between a broadcast and a frozen picture.
Three cameras in the room
A wide of the ballroom, the host and the person on stage. At a gala built around the laureates’ speeches, the third channel is not a luxury but the condition of a coherent broadcast.
Bonding instead of a line
Three mobile networks transmit in parallel and the server reassembles the stream. No cables run through historic interiors and no dependency on the building’s infrastructure.
Control position in the hall
The mobile production rig stands a few metres from the audience — compact, quiet and without interfering with the design of the event.
Straight to the client’s channel
The stream went to the YouTube channel of the organising association, where it remains as a full recording of the gala long after the event.

Modems on three mobile networks aggregated into one uplink. The answer for any venue without a fixed line: heritage buildings, halls, outdoor locations.

The complete, almost two-hour recording of the gala on the INTEGRACJA.tv channel. This is the same stream that went out live from the ballroom — over three mobile networks, without a single metre of cable plugged into the Castle’s infrastructure.
A decade together
The same gala and the same crew, year after year
The „Człowiek bez barier” competition has been run by the Integracja Association since 2003, exclusively for people with disabilities; the 23rd edition took place in 2025. The gala traditionally falls in early December, around the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and traditionally takes place at the Royal Castle.
We have been there since the first stream in 2015 — every year, with the same crew. For a recurring event that has concrete value: nobody has to rediscover where the cameras go in this room, where the audio comes from, or which mobile carrier actually holds up in this particular building. Each edition starts where the previous one finished.
FAQ
Live streaming without venue internet — common questions
Can you stream live from a venue with no internet?
Yes. Instead of a venue line we use mobile modems on several networks at once and bond them into a single stream. At this gala at the Royal Castle we broadcast over three networks simultaneously. There is one condition: usable coverage on site, which we verify during a site survey before the event.
How is bonding different from a single LTE modem?
One modem is one point of failure: a congested base station is enough to stall the stream. Bonding transmits over several networks in parallel, so a drop on one of them does not stop the picture — the others take over its share.
Does streaming from a heritage interior need special permissions?
Usually yes, but they concern the rigging: no drilling, no cable runs, no structures. A wireless workflow and a compact control position solve most of that — we do not touch the walls or the building’s installations.
How many cameras does a gala need?
For an awards gala the minimum is three: a wide of the room, the host and the person on stage. On two cameras the director has to choose between the laureate and the room’s reaction, and it is those two shots together that make the coverage.
Whose channel does the stream go to?
The client’s. This gala was streamed to the organising association’s YouTube channel, where the recording stayed permanently. We can also stream in parallel to Facebook or to a player embedded on the event website.
Do you handle recurring, annual events?
Yes, and it is our favourite way of working. We have covered this gala since 2015, every year. A new edition does not start from zero: we know the room, the camera positions, the audio sources and how the mobile networks behave in this specific building.
How much does a bonded-uplink gala stream cost?
It depends on the number of cameras, the length of the event and how many uplinks have to be built. A single-camera stream on one modem is a different budget from a three-camera production with three bonded networks. Tell us where and when, and we will quote against the actual room.
Running an event in a venue with no line?
We will survey the coverage on site, build the uplink on several bonded networks and produce the event multi-camera — including inside heritage interiors, without touching the building.
